Ultraviolet short/long wave

Fluorescence helps separate diamonds from simulants, sapphire from synthetic sapphire, emerald from synthetic emerald, ruby from garnet and glass or synthetic spinel from gem they imitate. Unit helps spot dye in some lavender jadeite, oils in emeralds and assembled stones whose parts fluorescence is different.

Refractometer

To separate natural stones from the others and also from imitations.

It measures the refractive index or speed of the light in the stone compared to the speed of the light in the air.

Able to tell if the stone is doubly refractive when given two different values of reading.

Comes in a carrying box.

Comes with light and sample R.I. liquid.

Presidium Refractive Index Meter II

By accurately measuring the quantitiy of light reflected through the stone, Presidium Refractive Index Meter II (PRIM II) is able to separate diamonds, moissanites and other colored gemstones via its Refractive Index (RI). The immediate reading is given by a display and unlike the traditional refractometers it does not require the usage of RI liquid. The new software enables the user to further eliminate the list of possible colored gemstones by entering known values such as color, hardness and S.G. value.

For more information regarding gemstone properties, common found locations can also be easily found.

Presidium Reflectivity meter

Using reflectivity to determine diamonds and any existing imitation. Quality and quantity of light reflected through the stone give you an instant reading of its reflective index.

An easy reference chart will determine the reflective index.
